This weekend family festival explored the human fascination with flight, flying, the skies and the heavens. The festival also featured presentations on the histories, arts, sciences and technologies of flying in different traditions as well as readings and talks by children’s fiction writers who tell stories inspired by flight and flying. A site-specific exhibition, Up in the Sky High, 2016, by Faisal Anwar, a Toronto-based interactive, new media artist/producer, was mounted in the Atrium of the Ismaili Centre. Musical performances were held by Rajasthan Josh & Maracatu Mar Aberto in the Aga Khan Park.
